Europe [140514 - 260514]

Italy

Venice - St Mark's Square, Bridge of Sighs, Glass blowing showroom, Gondola ride

Finally got to visit Venice! I always wanted to visit this place :) Loved the Gondola ride the most, but the most sad thing that happened ON the gondola ride is, my camera died. Grrrr.. What a spoiler on my first day of the trip.. Hence, the rest of the photos after the first day are taken using my iphone 5 cam.. Zzz

Bologna - Giambologna's Neptune Fountain

A pretty small place, with streets selling fruits, vege, bread, meat, seafood, etc. This place is known for their Simoni, but we didn't try.. Haha

Rome - Vatican City, St Peter's Basilica, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps

A very ancient city, and obviously very not-my-type-of-place! The grand ancient buildings became an eye-sore at the end of the day (yeah, just 1 day is too much for me to take!) Was so happy to leave Rome the next morning.. Lol

Florence - Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, Gates of Paradise, Arno River, Michelangelo's "David" Statue

Florence was such a surprise~ This place is beautiful! With a good mix of architecture, shops and food.. I enjoyed the short visit!

Pisa - Leaning Tower

Nothing much in Pisa other than the leaning tower.. Lol.. But the merchandise inspired by the leaning tower are all so cute~

Milan - Milano Gothic Cathedral, La Scala Opera House, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

The last stop in Italy, where shopping began! Everyone chiong for Prada.. Haha

Generally, Italy consists of more historical places.. meaning places which is worth visiting for one time. Haha.. Don't think I'll be back for a 2nd visit!

Switzerland

Lucerne - Chapel Bridge, Water Tower, Musegg Wall & Towers, Lion Monument

We were greeted by alps and more alps when we reached Switzerland! It's a clean and nice place with great scenery! And expensive watches.. hahah..

Mount Titlis - One of the greatest surprise this trip! We enjoyed our first Alps so much~ The breathtaking view, the fun of climbing over the snow.. Too bad it wasn't snowing when we were there.. But it was still a great experience! The newly constructed suspension bridge was the highlight.. Lol

Schilthorn, Piz Gloria (Bond 007) - Wasn't so impressed with this Alps compared to Mount Titlis, but have to say dining with THE VIEW is gorgeous. It's a pity we were quite rushed for time, wasn't able to sit there to enjoy the view for very long.. Haha

Interlaken and Bern - Barenpark, Houses of Parliament, River Aare

Just a few photo stops and shopping for more watches.. Switzerland's food is super salty!

Geneva - Chillon Castle, The Broken Chair, The Palace of Nations, Flora Clock

The last of Switzerland! I liked Switzerland more than I thought i would~ I suppose I like the breathtaking view of Alps much better than historical buildings.. Hahaha

France

Paris - River Seine, Louvre's Museum, The Invalids, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Galeries Lafayette

Highlight of Paris is definitely Eiffel Tower~ Am amazed at how someone could design such a nice structure! For my next visit to Paris, definitely must not miss a visit to Disneyland!!! On a side note, it's really dangerous in Paris..

The main loots from Galeries Lafayette and Printemp.. Heehee

I enjoyed my first trip to Europe! Although I feel that Europe is not the perfect place I would like to be (I was tortured by the need to eat bread everyday too!!), it's definitely a place worth visiting at least once in a lifetime.  This trip has also changed my perception of guided tours.. I enjoyed my experience with ASA! Love the "stop-take photo-drive off to the next destination" plans.. This saved so much time and effort for planning! Well, maybe USA next.. =P
Some pictures to catch up on what's happening in the recent months..

 Carousel dinner with colleagues.. Satisfying!

The escape room craze continues! 2 more escapes at Freeing sg (my fav 'brand' now) also didn't disappoint~ Looking forward to their new rooms soon!

Jean's bday lunch at Skinny Pizza and tea after

Tulipmania this year! Love the colourful flowers~

Finally, Europe.

Haven't had a family trip for soooooo long~ Looking forward to it!
Happy Birthday to Me 2014*~

My first cake from colleagues~ Rich cheesecake!

Mediacorp 50 years anniversary exhibition at National Museum..

Lockdown - Bailed out! I think we fared well in our first escape attempt together~ Lets go again! =p

Dinner at Watami.. The familiar view in the restaurant spurred us to take photos of the same angle as 4 years ago :)

Thanks for the cake at TCC!

Bday cake from Daddy~

Universal studios with free tics on my birthday!

Spuds & Aprons.. Main course was so-so.. But lovely ice-cream in a jar dessert! It was delicious!

Lunch at Fukuichi - Quality of food is good but it's pricey.. Lemon meringue tart for desserts.
Thanks for the Zara bag!

Canton Paradise in Bedok mall is good for the easties~

Brunch treat from pinting at Kith Cafe! Portion was too big for the 2 of us..!

My present from the bosses!

These pretty much sums up my January :) Thanks to everyone for making me feel loved and appreciated~
Merry X'mas 2013!

[191213] - Xmas buffet dinner with colleagues! Being the gian beng us, it's definitely a 1-for-1 dinner.. Hahaa. Dinner at The Square @ Furama Riverfront Hotel. Food was really so-so.. Nothing worth visiting again for, although the price is quite alright for a buffet with decent variety. And bcos this wasn't a really satisfying dinner, there will be a good one in Jan 14 :)

[211213] - Kbox with Pri Sch gang.. Such a long time since i last sang~ We had a great time discovering the song game in the new Teo Heng at Dhoby Ghaut!

[221213] - Annual christmas gift exchange and gathering

Finally, we have a complete group photo! It's so hard to catch everyone on normal days.. I'm glad christmas is always a time when we can have a good gathering and just nua around in someone's house..!

Received a watch bought in Japan from wenie this year (:

And for xmas eve..

My 2nd christmas in this job and in this office.. Am really grateful for wonderful colleagues who keep me sane at work and made my working days more enjoyable~ Thank you all~

It's nearing the end of the year again.. 2013 has been a year with lots of ups and downs.. I hope for a better and more peaceful 2014, praying for good health for everyone around me, and living life to the fullest :)
Freeing sg - Unmask! [201113]

My 3rd room escape and definitely the most scary so far! The 4 of us 太看得起自己, went to challenge this room without knowing it is not for the faint-hearted.. Haha! The girls were totally freaked out and screamed twice in the room =X Under such circumstances, the brain can't even work! Hahaha.. But I have to say, this is my favourite room so far. Spacious room, well-thought-of concepts, successful eerie atmosphere with music and more surprises in the room! Try it if you haven't!

Exit Plan - The Mad Scientist [071213]

The 4th attempt. Exit plan was more affordable so we gave it a go too.. Haha.. This place only focus on alot of puzzles which drained all our brain juices.. Was a little disappointed with the squeezy room and simple setup..

It's the escape games fever recently~ I'm quite hooked on this after the first attempt! How I wish it's a cheaper hobby.. Lol. Freeing sg coming up next again~
Awesome desserts at Olive Tree restaurant in Intercontinental Hotel~ The buffet is good! Seriously, the desserts taste so much better than those I had at goodwood park high tea buffet. It's super over-rated and a waste of money! Ok back to Olive Tree.. It was Director's treat for D&D and there's 1 for 1, so it's super worth it! Will definitely go back again when there's a chance! I miss the oreo cheesecake and the hot chocolate cake (not shown in pic) already..

Visited Xcape a 2nd time with the gang.. Played 'Inception' and what a disappointment. Chose the wrong room :( Lousy setup, tough but doesn't make sense..

Gina's bday [101113]

This is how we usually spend our outings these days.. Had a nice meal at Antoinette and went to have a drink at Chye Seng Huat Hardware. My 2nd time here and I don't like this place. Lol.. Another over-rated trend..

Caught this movie over the weekend. It's been quite some time since a movie left an impression on me. If you fancy a movie with good plot, watch this. It's good :)
