The unexpected Hong Kong trip!
Day 1 [30.12.12]
It was 9 degrees celsius when we touched down! Very cold with the strong wind~ Went to 翠华 for their 猪仔包 and XO noodles for lunch before we can check in.. And can't help walking into the first 许留山 in sight! :)
Eaton hotel has upgraded into a more atas hotel since the prev time i stayed there many years ago. This is the biggest hotel room i ever saw in hk.. Lol.
Shopped around in the afternoon.. Took quite long to get to the steamboat place which we forgot how to go.. But due to the cold weather.. Seats were fully taken up :( So we walk around in search of another steamboat place.. Happen to chance upon Yoshinoya which is selling hot pot set which cost less than S$10! Although the soup was abit disappointing as it was not spicy.. but it feels good to have hot pot in the cold weather!
Went to the lego exhibition at Times Square after.. Seems like hk puts in alot more effort than sg for their christmas decorations!
Day 2 [31.12.12]
Went to 添好运 at 10am, which is the time they open. The terrible queue got us number 83. Zzz.. Seriously........... So we went to shop around first.
See what i meant by them putting more effort in christmas deco.. The decorations at langham place is soooo cute!
The queue at 添好运 was number 30+ when we went back after 4 hours -.- So we went to eat other stuff.. Back to the stall in mongkok for the 鸡蛋仔! We finally got to eat the dim sum at 5pm.. Breakfast became dinner.. Well done. And the dim sums were quite disappointing lahh! Except the fried cha siew bao.. The dim sum is not worth the wait anymore..
We went to tsim sha tsui for the countdown.. The crowd was terrible.. I was abit stunned when i walked out of the mtr station.. Lol. And we didn't even manage to get to the harbour cos it was too crowded! End up we were at this small road with the screen showing the countdown.. Only managed to catch a glimpse of the fireworks.. Hahah. And right after 12am we chiong to the mtr station =p Was afraid that the crowd might catch up with us and the train service will end.. LOL!
Day 3 [01.01.13]
Went disneyland after our mac breakfast.. Disneyland has 2 new sections.. Not bad~ Still got another one opening this year. Makes it feels like its not that small anymore.. My 3rd visit to disneyland but my first time watching the lion king show.. It was awesome~ As usual, i enjoyed my time spent in disneyland :D
Went to Match-too for the beef risotto for dinner. Their beef is still the best i've ever eaten! Yummy~~
Day 4 [02.01.13]
Went to City Hall Maxim's Palace for dim sum breakfast. I didn't know this is a popular dim sum place.. So many angmohs were inside. I certainly hope the situation don't become like 添好运. The population in hk is growing just like sg.. Grrrrrr! The food was not bad.. But the price is on the expensive side..
Then we went for our atas shopping at harbourcity. Got myself another agnes b bag =X
In the evening we went for dim sum round 2 at 糖朝. 糖朝 moved! But luckily it was just few streets away..
Happy birthday to myself! SH brought me to agnes b cafe for a cake and tea. The cake was good!
When we returned to hotel, I was stunned to see another huge cake on the desk. Ter prepared another cake for me~ Two of us finished the whole big cake.. Lol. Thanks SH! =)
After leaving our shopping loots in the hotel, we went to 旺角中心 for round 2 shopping.. LOL! I never knew the place opens till 11pm.
Day 5 [03.01.13]
Went for breakfast at Tai Hing bcos the Australian Dairy place wasn't open. Our amazing discovery.. Their scrambled eggs is awesome!! It melts in the mouth~ I must go back for the eggs again!
Then we checked out of the hotel with our bursting luggages and flew home~
Another surprise awaits me at Changi Airport.. Saw ade and jov at the arrival waiting area. The girls came to have dinner and celebrated my bday with me. Thanks girls! And thanks for the clutch too!
Hong Kong trips always make me happy. I'll never get sick of this place (:
