KTV followed by dinner at Cafe Oliv along east coast road.. It was goood! Atmosphere and food was nice.. Plus the mains and desserts were served in big portions.. Making the set meals value for money =)

Oil spill response course [090511 - 130511]

Was on this 5-day long course last week.. Interesting course although it was very very tiring.. To be waking up earlier than going to work.. And it was lectures + physical exercise for 8 hours a day!

Day 1 & 2 was spent at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel.. Full day lectures and I do not even dare to slack for a second bcos there were only 8 more delegates and they all held managerial posts in oil companies -.- I was the only noob around.. Stressful!

Day 3.. Jetty booming exercise! No thanks to the "wonderful" weather.. We were sweating like mad for the exercise.. Zzz.. Although I wasn't really involved in the work which requires alot of strength (as u can see from the photo) Haha! I scared i will 越帮越忙 so i stood at one side to take pictures.. lol! Privilege of being the only girl in the course again.

Day 4.. Offshore booming exercise! Took a boat and went out to sea~ Weather was rather helpful and it poured~ I was really thankful for that.. Wearing coveralls and poncho is MUCH better than having to work in the heat! And there was a cute guy on board.. Lol! =x
Day 5.. Final day of the course and we went ECP for shoreline cleanup. It was nothing much compared to the prev 2 days.. Haha.. Yeap so that was how i spent 5 long days at the course..

Was glad it was over bcos it was much more tiring than going to work! But nonetheless, it was a good experience and definitely a good break from never-ending work.. Felt more refreshed when I went back to office after that.. Haha..

GE 2011

People who knows me should know that I couldn't really be bothered about such things in the past, but bcos of the powerful media and it's my first time casting my vote.. It's only this GE that i started reading on the news and taking note of the candidates. But I'm glad that i'm contributing to part of the exciting fight this year! Haha
Sensitive topic so i shall not leave too many personal comments here.. The internet is dangerous =x

Just 3 main points.

1) The opposition should learn to have a better distribution of their talents! If only they choose to distribute their stronger candidates to the cui-er areas.. I'm sure they are able to win more seats!
2) So much for the hype online.. It just proved that there are still alot of kiasi singaporeans around.
3) But nice wake up calls.. The percentage shows it all. Lets see what they will do for Singapore for the next 5 years.

When weekdays are tiring and boring..

When you are not really looking forward to weekends too..

Simply because there's nothing to look forward to.

It seems that I lost my way somehow..

I feel.. empty.

Not the first time i've heard this quote, but its only recently that I really thought about it and realised how true it is.

Heard a story from a colleague few weeks ago, as much as I want to share it here.. Just felt that it isn't right to do so. But anyway.. It's bcos of her somewhat 荒谬 life story and what has happened.. That i start to think that its so true.

My intern seemed to be enlightened immediately after hearing her story.. But being slow, I took a day to digest and got enlightened only then. Haha!

Maybe.. Maybe I should stop thinking so much and start doing whatever I feel like doing.

2D1N Soju Bang

Korean BBQ buffet with 8Cs at this restaurant in Tanjong Pagar.. Queue was amazingly long.. Waited for 1.5hours before our turn! Food was quite good but with little variety.. Guess it's the cheap buffet price that attracted the crowd.. And it's wayyyyy too meaty.. with no vege at all! Except kimchi and the one u use to wrap the meat.. lol

Whee~ Something to look forward to!
