Europe [140514 - 260514]

Italy

Venice - St Mark's Square, Bridge of Sighs, Glass blowing showroom, Gondola ride

Finally got to visit Venice! I always wanted to visit this place :) Loved the Gondola ride the most, but the most sad thing that happened ON the gondola ride is, my camera died. Grrrr.. What a spoiler on my first day of the trip.. Hence, the rest of the photos after the first day are taken using my iphone 5 cam.. Zzz

Bologna - Giambologna's Neptune Fountain

A pretty small place, with streets selling fruits, vege, bread, meat, seafood, etc. This place is known for their Simoni, but we didn't try.. Haha

Rome - Vatican City, St Peter's Basilica, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps

A very ancient city, and obviously very not-my-type-of-place! The grand ancient buildings became an eye-sore at the end of the day (yeah, just 1 day is too much for me to take!) Was so happy to leave Rome the next morning.. Lol

Florence - Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, Gates of Paradise, Arno River, Michelangelo's "David" Statue

Florence was such a surprise~ This place is beautiful! With a good mix of architecture, shops and food.. I enjoyed the short visit!

Pisa - Leaning Tower

Nothing much in Pisa other than the leaning tower.. Lol.. But the merchandise inspired by the leaning tower are all so cute~

Milan - Milano Gothic Cathedral, La Scala Opera House, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

The last stop in Italy, where shopping began! Everyone chiong for Prada.. Haha

Generally, Italy consists of more historical places.. meaning places which is worth visiting for one time. Haha.. Don't think I'll be back for a 2nd visit!

Switzerland

Lucerne - Chapel Bridge, Water Tower, Musegg Wall & Towers, Lion Monument

We were greeted by alps and more alps when we reached Switzerland! It's a clean and nice place with great scenery! And expensive watches.. hahah..

Mount Titlis - One of the greatest surprise this trip! We enjoyed our first Alps so much~ The breathtaking view, the fun of climbing over the snow.. Too bad it wasn't snowing when we were there.. But it was still a great experience! The newly constructed suspension bridge was the highlight.. Lol

Schilthorn, Piz Gloria (Bond 007) - Wasn't so impressed with this Alps compared to Mount Titlis, but have to say dining with THE VIEW is gorgeous. It's a pity we were quite rushed for time, wasn't able to sit there to enjoy the view for very long.. Haha

Interlaken and Bern - Barenpark, Houses of Parliament, River Aare

Just a few photo stops and shopping for more watches.. Switzerland's food is super salty!

Geneva - Chillon Castle, The Broken Chair, The Palace of Nations, Flora Clock

The last of Switzerland! I liked Switzerland more than I thought i would~ I suppose I like the breathtaking view of Alps much better than historical buildings.. Hahaha

France

Paris - River Seine, Louvre's Museum, The Invalids, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Galeries Lafayette

Highlight of Paris is definitely Eiffel Tower~ Am amazed at how someone could design such a nice structure! For my next visit to Paris, definitely must not miss a visit to Disneyland!!! On a side note, it's really dangerous in Paris..

The main loots from Galeries Lafayette and Printemp.. Heehee

I enjoyed my first trip to Europe! Although I feel that Europe is not the perfect place I would like to be (I was tortured by the need to eat bread everyday too!!), it's definitely a place worth visiting at least once in a lifetime.  This trip has also changed my perception of guided tours.. I enjoyed my experience with ASA! Love the "stop-take photo-drive off to the next destination" plans.. This saved so much time and effort for planning! Well, maybe USA next.. =P
